This roundtable is designed for internal audit directors and managers who are responsible for building, maintaining, and overseeing internal audit methodologies in alignment with the Standards.
Participants will engage in a practical, peer-driven discussion on how to develop, implement, and evolve internal audit methodologies—for audit planning and execution to reporting, follow-up, and quality assurance.

By the end of this event, attendees will be able to:
- Identify key components of effective internal audit methodologies covering audit planning, execution, documentation, reporting, and follow-up practices
- Apply practical approaches to standardizing, streamlining and automating engagement processes to improve efficiency, consistency, quality and conformance across engagement
- Evaluate different methodology approaches (eg policies, procedures, manuals, checklists, templates, matrices, frameworks, questionnaires, surveys and technology) based on team size, maturity, and operational needs
- Strengthen adoption of methodologies across audit staff, including effective training and reinforcement strategies to ensure consistent execution
- Identify opportunities to enhance and streamline existing methodologies based on peer insights, improving efficiency, consistency, quality, and overall audit delivery
