Tyler is a Managing Director and leads Protiviti’s Fintech sub-industry in the Bay Area. Tyler supports a variety of Fintech and crypto organizations across lines of defense with a focus on governance, risk, and control. Tyler’s Fintech experience spans capital markets, payments, specialty and consumer lending, blockchain, real estate, and various platforms to service financial institutions. His engagements have included public company readiness assessments and financial controls implementations, risk governance framework implementations, enterprise risk assessments, regulatory reporting evaluations, and the building and upskilling of internal audit functions.

Michael Downing started at The IIA in August 2022. Before assuming his role at The IIA, Michael held several positions in the Federal government, including Deputy Assistant Secretary for Intergovernmental Affairs at the U.S. Department of Labor and Deputy Chief of Staff at the U.S. General Services Administration. Prior to working in Washington, DC, Michael served in the Office of Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett and held several senior-level campaign positions in his native Pennsylvania.
