Estimados socios y visitantes:

Agradezco a esta Junta por la confianza que me han brindado durante todos estos años y por darme la oportunidad de presidir nuevamente el Capítulo de Puerto Rico del Instituto de Auditores Internos. Me siento bien orgulloso de pertenecer a la misma y de tener la oportunidad de aportar a la promoción y defensa de la profesión de auditoría interna. Este año, continuaremos los esfuerzos de la Junta anterior para fortalecer la estructura del Capítulo. También reanudaremos nuestro programa de educación continua, el cual se vio afectado por la pandemia, pero estamos comenzando hoy con la celebración de esta asamblea y nuestro tradicional Día del Auditor Interno. La ejecución de este programa nos permitirá mantener la distinción de Capítulo Platino que otorga el Instituto de Auditores Internos.

Además, estableceremos un plan de visitas y orientaciones a instituciones educativas para promocionar la profesión de auditoría interna, crear interés en la misma y fortalecer la membresía de nuestro capítulo.

Como parte del fortalecimiento de nuestra estructura, elaboraremos una Misión y Visión del Capítulo. Esto nos ayudará a formular un plan estratégico y a alcanzar nuestras metas y objetivos de una manera más eficiente y eficaz.

Por último, desarrollaremos iniciativas para promover las certificaciones del Instituto de Auditores Internos y aumentar la cantidad de profesionales certificados en las áreas de auditoría interna, gestión de riesgos y controles internos. Estas certificaciones son un indicativo de que los profesionales poseen las competencias, habilidades y conocimientos necesarios para ejercer la profesión, y a su vez, promueven nuestra credibilidad y respeto, y demuestra nuestro compromiso con la profesión.

Espero verlos en nuestra próxima asamblea y presentarles resultados positivos de la gestión de esta Junta, y que haya más socios presentes en ésta.

Our cancellation policy is outlined below:

General:

All cancellation requests must be sent via email to the Chapter. Due to financial obligations and other considerations, cancellation requests must be received prior to the start of the event.

The Chapter may make changes to this policy as deemed necessary. Any changes to the policy will be communicated via email and will be posted on our website.

Chapter Initiated Cancellations:

The Chapter reserves the right to cancel an event due to insufficient participation or other unforeseen circumstances. If the Chapter cancels an event, the Chapter will notify registered attendees a week prior to the event. Paid registrations will be refunded. Registrations paid by check will be processed no sooner than 10 business days after the date of the check.

Attendee Initiated Cancellations:

If a registered attendee needs to cancel their registration, the cancellation procedures are as follows:

Cancellation Request Received More Than Five Days Prior to Event:

▪ If initially paid by check, full refund will be issued by check.

▪ If initially paid by credit card, full refund will be credited back to the credit card.

Cancellation Request Recieved Between Two and Five Days Prior to Event:

▪ If initially paid by check, 50% of the registration fee will be refunded via a credit towards a future meeting. The meeting must take place within the same fiscal year (September through May).

Cancellation Request Received Less Than Two Days Prior to Event and No Shows:

▪ No Refund

Special Circumstances:

The Chapter acknowledges that extenuating circumstances may cause an attendee to cancel their registration. In these instances, refund considerations will be made on a case by case basis.

Materials of the Event:

Event materials will be available the day before the event as long as your register and pay the costs of the event.
