Dear IIA Seattle Chapter Members,
Happy Holidays!! I hope everyone is having an enjoyable holiday season. In November we had a successful luncheon on the topic of Internal Audit's role in AI Risk Management, thank you to everyone who attended the event. On December 5th we partnered with AuditBoard to deliver a training on culture and ethics, we appreciate the opportunities to deliver these training to our members. In the new calendar year, we have a lot of fun events planned, luncheons, the 2024 GAAM conference and our annual fraud conference. We appreciate our members and volunteers for everything you do support our internal audit community in the Seattle area, without your support and commitment to the profession we would not have achieved the success our Chapter has experienced. I learned this week that our Seattle Chapter will be celebrating it's 75 year in 2024 and am very excited for share in the celebration with our members, volunteer, chapter officers and board members. More to come in how we will be recognized by National in the coming months.
Please register for our January event, we're excited to be hosting the Holiday Social with Michelle Wagner, and look forward to seeing you there.
We have several volunteer positions we are looking to fill, if you are passionate about academic relations, programming, member engagement, communications or want to volunteer your financial skills to support our treasurer we'd love to hear from you at Chapter34@iiachapters.org.
I wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season, have a wonderful month!!!
