The Memphis Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) serves the US Mid-South. We are a very diverse chapter with over 350 members in more than 65 corporations and 15 government agencies. We offer monthly education from August to May each year, with additional half day seminars to provide many training opportunities. The Memphis Chapter also hosts an Annual Student Day meeting that features a scholarship contest, to help students learn more about the profession and what employers are looking for in internal audit candidate.

The Memphis chapter has maintained Platinum Status since 2021 and is on our way to Ruby status. We are a very diverse chapter with over 350 members in more than 65 corporations and 15 government agencies. We offer monthly education throughout the year, with additional half day seminars to provide many training opportunities. The Memphis Chapter also hosts an Annual Student Day to help students learn more about the profession and what employers are looking for in internal audit candidates.
We are always looking for new members and new ways to enhance and educate about our profession. I am excited to be a part of such an amazing group of professionals. I would like to thank the Officer team and the Board of Governors for their leadership and support as we overcame some truly unprecedented times during the past few years. A special thanks to our members for their continued participation in our events and programs and a huge thank you to all the other committee volunteers for their continued service.
Our goals this year include increasing membership engagement, developing our professor and student relationships, and continuing ort focus on volunteerism and inspiring members to get involved. We strive to continue providing quality programs and educational opportunities to our local professionals and aspiring students.
I look forward to all this year has to offer and I am committed to serving the Chapter and maintaining our platinum reputation. Thanks again and please let me know if there is ever anything you need from me.

IIA Memphis Chapter, in partnership with Robert Half, is excited to announce the availability of a $500 academic scholarship. Additionally, the winning student will receive sponsorship to attend the IIA 2025 Global Student Conference at the stunning Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Convention Center, Orlando, FL! The sponsorship will cover all travel expenses and the registration fee. This year’s IIA Memphis Chapter scholarship topic is “Evaluate the Importance of Soft Skills Among Internal Auditors in the Age of AI.

During Internal Audit Awareness Month in May, we shared our passion for internal auditing, promoting the profession through a variety of events and campaigns designed to inform and engage, raise awareness, and help stakeholders understand the value of internal audit in their organizations.
Memphis achieved RUBY status during the 2021-2022 program years. This notable accomplishment comes after maintaining our GOLD status for 20 consecutive years. Congratulations to all the volunteers and members of the Memphis chapter for all their hard work!
