IAF President Excited about the Transformation of the Foundation

Warren Stippich has worked in the internal audit profession for a long time.  As the president of the Internal Audit Foundation, his years of experience are already being felt as the Internal Audit Foundation engages on a transformative path.

There is a lot of change happening in the profession and Stippich says “the Internal Audit Foundation has to be ready to support change and lead the way on the future of the profession.”

In his role, Warren is already drawing on his years of experience with the Internal Audit Foundation in prior leadership roles to drive the strategy for transformation and change needed to be ready for what’s coming in the profession.  “We have to make sure the Internal Audit Foundation connected and supportive of The IIA as a forward-thinking entity to meet the needs of our 200,000 + members worldwide,” he explains.  

Warren has spent many years supporting IIA activities by serving in numerous volunteer roles, giving speeches and presentations at conferences and meetings all around the world and listening to members and other professionals about what’s important to them.  He became a CIA (Certified Internal Auditor®) nearly 30 years ago and that professional designation has demonstrated his commitment to the profession and excellence.  He is also holds a CRMA (Certification in Risk Management Assurance®) designation.

“Supporting the Foundation is important for all members”, he says. Stippich goes on to say that “The role of the Foundation is so important to our members and future members of the profession.  The research, thought leadership, education of our future professionals and advancement of diversity, equity and inclusion are all key strategic components of what the Foundation will focus on in the coming years.”
