The Most Important Tools for Internal Audit

Format: Online

During the session we will give an overview of the main tools out there on the market that can be used for data analytics. These include those that are paid and those that are free. We will look at examples of them and compare the advantages and inconveniences of each. We will also look at a detailed decision matrix and get everyone’s opinion during the session as to what is important in a tool and why.

Furthermore, we will look at some example budgets that are already made, so that internal audit departments can get a clear idea of cost options: either for an off-the-shelf tool with internal development or a service or a mix of both. Finally, the session will discuss the challenges to build data analytics into the audit function. We will look at how this can be done and some tips to over-coming initial inertia, as well as identifying what the expectations should be. Throughout the webinar, we will take examples of dashboards to understand the “Why” behind data analytics and data analytics tools as compared to the traditional sampling method.
