Learning Continuing Professional Education | Earn While You Learn

It’s easy to keep your IIA certification(s) or qualification(s) active, but you need to report now. We make it simple to get your continuing professional education or continuing professional development (CPE/CPD) credits by the annual Dec. 31 deadline.

Earn and Report your CPE/CPD Credits

CPE/CPD credits are required for end-of-year reporting to keep your IIA certification(s) or qualification(s) active — report now. The annual deadline is Dec. 31. North American members report CPE/CPD credits for free.

Meet the Ethics Requirement

Two of your CPE/CPD credits must be earned in ethics. IIA makes this easy by offering Ethical Behavior & Ethical Scenarios for Internal Auditors course through OnDemand training. Participants can save on the OnDemand courses when purchased as part of The IIA’s Ethics Essentials course bundle.

Take advantage of these CPE-earning opportunities below:

Don’t Miss Out on Being Included in The IIA Certification Registry.

All individuals who have earned an IIA certification or qualification and maintain it by reporting CPE/CPD credits can opt into The IIA Certification Registry. This up-to-date record provides an opportunity for employers and recruiters to verify your certification or qualification. The registry will only include the following: certification holder’s first and last name, certificate ID, certification status, country of residence. Inclusion in the registry is voluntary.

If you do not report, your certification or /qualification goes inactive. As a result, you are no longer approved to represent yourself as a certified individual nor be listed in the registry.
